28 Before 29 Revisited...

I thought it would be nice to revisit my 28 before 29 list and see what if anything I have accomplished in the last couple of months. The two items in coral are things that have been completed and I must say... I've felt like I've done more than just two things off of my list! I guess it's because a few of them are a work in progress so I won't really be able to mark them off until next October. We have already had a couple of dinner parties and I have been reading my books so there's always those things. I really am looking forward to the new year and starting some things fresh in my life...have you been keeping any lists?

1. Open Cookie Louise Vintage
2. Learn to knit or crochet
3. Start trying to have a baby
4. Only work part time at the office
5. Read a book a month
6. Take the food canteen out five times a month regularly
7. Take a real vacation
8. Refinish the buffet for the craft room
9. Reorganize the craft room and get it more functional
10. Take ballet classes
11. Go on a road trip with the girls
12. Work on stocking the etsy shop for real
13. Go see some live music
14. Visit an amusement park
15. Spend more time with family in Houston

28th Birthday Coffee Party...

I had the greatest party ever...it was just what I wanted. A few of my friends in an environment that we could just hang out and visit with each other. My sweet husband planned the whole thing with the help of my mom and friend Mel and let's just say I was on cloud nine.

The day started with the most amazing gift from my sweet Mister...the Red Velvet "Sewing Kit Dress" I wanted to order it when it came out but didn't have the funds. Well Ryan assured me that if it was meant to be it would make it's way to my closet and it did!! That surprise was followed by a little trip to the mall to find the perfect shoes to finish off the look...what a day!

That evening Ryan had arranged for some of my friends to come out to our fave local coffee shop Coffee Waves for some cake and gelatto. It was just what I had wanted, an intimate setting where we could just visit and fellowship and not be rushed.

Just seeing everybody there was so humbling and filled my heart with so much joy...that many people there to celebrate me all in different stages of life, what a prayer answered!

Thank you everyone for all of your thoughtful messages and encouraging words...I can't wait to see what God has in store for me this coming year!!

Birthday Wish List...

Yesterday marked exactly one month until my 28th birthday... I am still in denial of this fact. My twenties are so close to being over and adulthood is feeling pretty official. I know I have mentioned to you all before how I still think of myself as the 18 year old who is just starting out on her own, so it's hard to believe a whole ten years has passed since then.

Well in honor of my soon to be birthday I have composed a short list of a few things that would make me squeal on October 1st!

Cookie Louise Turns 13...

Today is a very special day over here at Cookie Louise Pleaze, today our very own Cookie Louise turns 13! I can't believe how old my littlest sidekick is getting. It seems crazy to think that I was a freshman when she stumbled into my arms...

I honor of her Birthday I am going to give you a little Cookie Louise picture flashback, have I mentioned how much I love this little lady?

We have shared so many ups and a few downs together I can't imagine my life without this sweet girl...she has the best personality of any dog ever! I can't believe that those birthday party pics are already three years old! I'm thinking of having another one for her in a few weeks since she is a teenager and all now!
