A Fresh New Look...

Y'all I am beyond excited...for realsies! If you haven't already noticed Cookie Louise Pleaze has finally had a facelift. Ya see I am in no way shape or for any good at html and basically was lucky to have the blog looking like I did. When Amy over at A is for Ampersand told me she was going to start doing blog design I knew I had to have her help!

If you are thinking about having a blog design done for the first time like myself or just revamping your look you have to go to Amy. She was the sweetest gal to work with and wasn't happy with anything unless I was...talk about customer service. I promise she will not disappoint!

I really feel all of her hard work really captures the personality of Cookie Louise Pleaze to a T. It is almost as though it's a real live place where you can sit down and have some coffee and visit in a warm relaxing atmosphere.

Guest Post...A is for Ampersand

Hello there, Cookie Louise Pleaze readers! I'm Amy from A is for Ampersand, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be here celebrating here with Christina on her big blog anniversary! I am a huge fan of Christina and always enjoy her insanely pretty vintage outfit posts and inspirational words. She's pretty much a gem, and I'm supa excited to be here.

Over at A is for Ampersand I like to provide my readers with some always free and always fun blog clipart. As a graphic designer by day and a blogger by night, I like to keep my creativity fresh by providing free clipart, so today I thought I'd make some fun party-esque clipart in honor of Christina's big day!

A Package Came In The Mail...

From Amy over at A is for Ampersand! She is just the sweetest gal to chat with and at times I think we might have been separated at birth...either that or she is capable of reading minds.

She sent me a hand made chevron print apron to keep my vintage pristine while I bake and an awesome gold velvet turban headband...swoon!

I could and just might wear this turban every day and after seeing this apron have a new urge to bake!!

Blogger Spotlight... A is for Ampersand!

Today I just want to show a little love to one of my favorite bloggers out there...Miss Amy over at A is for Ampersand!

She is seriously hilarious, sweet to a fault, an awesome graphic designer and an all around GREAT friend to have! Without further adu I'm going to let her tell you a little bit about herself...


Hey lovely Cookie Louise Pleaze readers! Amy from A is for Ampersand here. I'm so honored to be spotlighted by the ever fantastic Christina. I MIGHT be her biggest fan, so it's good to be here.

I started my humble little corner of the internet about two years ago but never really got serious about it until last year. As a trained technical writer, I started my blog looking for a creative outlet for my writing outside of writing software manuals (my full-time job at the time. Eek! I know! So awful.) Since starting, however, my writerly endeavors have turned toward my full-blown addictions to thrifting, sewing, graphic design, and all things glorious. I'm also a pretty hardcore cat lady, but I promise I try to keep the cat lady chaos to a minimum. :)

Over on A is for Ampersand, I run a couple of features, including Monday Crushes, and $2 Thrifty Thursdays where I challenge myself weekly to find a treasure at the thrift store for $2 or less. It's always great fun, and I'd love for you to join me! I also like to post free blog clipart every Wednesday, so if you're in the market for some tape strips, starbursts, or other pretty things, take a peek!

As I continue to blog the things I love, I'm continually baffled by how supportive the blogging community is. Ask any blogger and they'll tell you the biggest perk to the blogosphere is the like-minded ladies you meet. Living in a pretty conservative town means I don't live near a lot of people into the thrifting scene, so it's always pretty darn great to meet people just like me with similar interests.
