Project Restyle...Five

So last week I gave you a little peek at what I was going to be working on this weekend. Remember this dress?

Well I picked this little white dress up at the Goodwill a month or so ago for a couple of bucks. The cut wasn't very flattering but I had to figure out how to make it into something cute because of it's homemade vintage charm! Hemming the dress or taking it in just wasn't going to cut it because it was a very odd dress and kinda looked nurse like due to the stiff white fabric.

Then it finally hit me, the best part was the neckline so just cut the sides and back off and turn it into a sweet vintage apron! I added a red polka dot collar to the back of the neck, a yellow polka dot waist sash, a black and white damask ruffle from some garage sale fabric, a sweet little pocket with an applique I cut off of an old tank I've had since high school and topped it off with three black vintage buttons.

You know when you have something in your head and it turns out to be WAY better than you imagined? Well this is that item, I love this little apron! I can't wait to get baking in it or wear it as a hostess piece when we have a dinner party...oh the options!

I hope you love it as much as I do, would this be something you would like to see in the shop?
