For the Record...

I just want to clear a few things up regarding my post "One Year". Let me begin by saying I am in no way ashamed of my past, I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason and that I wouldn't be who I am today without it.

I just want to clarify that sometimes in life we make bad choices and that I am in no ways perfect. I just wanted to emphasize the person I have been able to become and to represent myself on this blog in a way that shares that. I didn't want Cookie Louise Pleaze to be some fabricated image of my life that wasn't real and apart of who I am.

I know sometimes I get caught up in a lot of these blogs and fantasize about the lives of those who write them and how dreamy their lives must be. I didn't want anyone thinking that I didn't have the same struggles, after all we are all human and have our own hang ups. I just had one from my youth that I didn't want to let go of, not that it necessarily was controlling my life or something I did all the time. I just felt convicted by God to finally let it go because HE is all I need!

I feel as though God has given me this platform for a reason and when all is said and done only I can answer for what I did or didn't do with the life of His Son and what He asked of me in return.

Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops —Matthew 10:27

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement, I love my readers deeply and am honored to have even the tiniest smidge on the Internet to call my own. I just know sometimes things can be taken way out of context and wanted to clear the air for myself since I am aware such a revelation of ones personal life can be a HUGE shock. Thank you!!

  1. Thank you for sharing :) I agree our past is part of who we are, not defining us but helping create who we become. And because of your past you can reach people in a way those of us who don't have your past can not. We are all different parts of one body ~ In Christ love - Laura

  2. One should never be ashamed of the past. It makes us who we are and we are better for it. And your post couldn't have come at a better time seeing as I had been pondering doing a similar one for some time but was too chicken. You inspired me! Thanks for reading my blog and writing inspiring things on your blog. :)

  3. Thank you for reading ladies, I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!
